In Tune: Warped Tour

For 17 years now, Warped Tour has brought musicians and music enthusiasts together to create an experience that keeps both parties coming back for more. And it’s not hard to see why. As the Vans Warped Tour rolled through South Florida on Sunday, it wasn’t just the heat that brought intensity to the Cruzan Amphitheater in West Palm Beach.

In Tune: Coldplay in Miami

I have been to a lot of concerts and festivals in my life, but none of that could have adequately prepared me for the affair that was Coldplay at the American Airlines Arena in Downtown Miami on Friday, June 29. The entire night became an experience, one I hadn’t necessarily expected to have to such an extent.

In Tune: SunFest 2012

SunFest was founded in 1982 and since then, it has gone on to become Florida’s largest waterfront music and art festival. This year’s festivities will be taking place May 2-6, so it’s the perfect way to kick off the summer and shake off all that stress from finals week.

In Tune: Art Basel Saturday Music Recommendations

Music may not be the first thing you think of when you hear the word art, but the two are definitely intertwined. The Art Basel music scene has grown tremendously in the last few years, and this weekend, you can expect to see proof of that.

In Tune: Orlando Calling deserves an encore

It’s no easy feat to organize a music festival. I think that’s something everyone can agree on. But this was the task that the folks at Festival Republic undertook and embraced wholeheartedly. With a determined spirit and passion for music, they organized Orlando Calling, and they ultimately delivered it.

For the last seven years, the University has housed a group that has received critical acclaim and praise from countries around the world for their intelligence, approach, playing and style.

In Tune: Orlando Calling

Orlando Calling is upon us. It’s presented by Festival Republic, the same group that puts together a few things you may have heard of in Europe: Glastonbury, Reading and Leeds.

In Tune: Jack’s Mannequin

Many people believe the kind of music someone listens to says a lot about them. That theory makes some sense. Music, though universal, is also very personal. Songs tell a story, not just the one of the person who sings or writes it, but that of everyone who is eventually affected by it. In its grand tribute to life, music emulates its movement in a process that captures who we are, where we’re going and how we’ll get there.

Soundcheck

I’ve been trying to figure out how to get this post started for a few days now. I’ve gone over some corny opening sentences, but I…
