Alumnus gives back to University as thanks and for future students

The University’s College of Law received its largest donation of $400,000 this month from alumnus Abraham Ovadia, an attorney at his own law firm who graduated in 2009, who said it is important to give back to his alma mater.

Bjelica sets personal records in tourney doubleheader

With the help of an amazing game by outside hitter Jovana Bjelica, FIU steamrolled through Austin-Peay to win 3-0 (25-16, 25-22, 25-20) in their first match against the Blue Raider Bash in Murfreesboro, Tenn. Later on that same day after the win over the Lady Govs, the Tiger’s roar was louder than the Panthers’ as FIU lost an absolute heart breaker to Auburn University in their first five-set game of the season.
