Habits such as slowing down only if a cop is around, or slightly bumping the back of someone’s vehicle the second the light turns green are only a couple of the numerous poor habits that have been passed down.
It’s common to see drivers on their phone, eating, talking or being distracted in some way, causing them to lose track of their surroundings. Others fall asleep behind the wheel or want to race another car at high speed. Autonomous cars, unlike real drivers, don’t do any of these things.
The University owes it’s students safety, especially if they are living across the street.

However, students said they witness their peers texting and driving often.
“I see people texting and driving all the time on campus,” said Roberto Lopez, junior computer science major.
