BBC celebrates Pride Week with color

Edwin Serrano, a graduate assistant for the Office of Multicultural Programs and Services at the Biscayne Bay Campus, said April is the month to express who one truly is. As part of FIU Pride Month 2015, the LGBTQA Initiatives program will celebrate this freedom Monday, April 20.



University presents film on gay pride

As part of FIU Pride Month 2015, the University will host a screening of the award-winning documentary “Beyond Gay: The Politics of Pride” to understand the relevance of gay pride in different countries.


Release Week includes LGBTQA pride celebration

With finals approaching, the Department of Campus Life and the Office of Multicultural Programs and Services joined forces to host events throughout the upcoming week at Biscayne Bay Campus.

Release Week starts on Monday, April 14, with a kickoff event combined with an LBTQA Pride celebration at the new Panther Square at 11 a.m.


Drag queens visit BBC, educate students

Different drag queens from “Azucar,” a Miami Beach nightclub, are coming to Biscayne Bay Campus to share their experiences with students.

“Half Drag: ‘I’m not a Woman, I’m a Drag Queen’,” on Wednesday, April 2 at noon, is an event hosted by the LGBTQA Initiatives to educate students about issues in the community.
