Fairgrounds ‘a vital need for University’

Talks are still in the works between the Miami-Dade County Youth Fair and Expo, Inc. and the University as they aim to make a land swap, granting the University 86 acres adjacent to the Modesto Maidique Campus.

University observatory construction underway

With a groundbreaking event on Feb. 21 and construction beginning in late March or early April of this year, the idea of University Physics Professor James Webb will become a reality through the creation of the Stocker AstroScience Center at the Modesto Maidique Campus.
