Athletic fee increased to cover conference switch
The athletic fee committee voted to pass the proposed 54-cent increase bringing the total from $15.56 to $16.10 per credit hour, pending the approval of the Board of Trustees.

Panthers finish season on high note heading into tournament play
On May 5, FIU closed the regular season on a high note beating FAU 2-0 on Senior night. With the win, the Panthers not only won the series but now enter the Sun Belt Tournament with a ton of momentum.

Florida International University will be one of five teams that will joining Conference USA in 2013 along with University of North Carolina at Charlotte, Louisiana Tech University, University of North Texas and University of Texas at San Antonio (UTSA).

Jack Griffin won the battle of field goal kickers by going three for three with 40, 34 and 43-yard kicks, but the WKU kickers had the last laugh as Casey Tinius kicked in the game winning field goal with four seconds left.
