The University’s quick expansion has taken a toll on its cold water system.
Traffic lights, parking spaces, new buildings, more construction, incoming students— that’s what the University looks like in the next decade.
New changes are being implemented along southwest Eighth street between the Palmetto Expressway and the Florida Turnpike. Public Information Specialist Cynthia Vazquez stated, “The project is to enhance public safety.”
The changes being implemented include the repaving of the roads in that area and changes to improve traffic lights and lanes. Additional bicycle lanes will also be added.

As most students have gone home for the summer, or simply decided to take a break, few have noticed that the construction projects begun during the Fall 2011 and Spring 2012 semesters is now in full swing.
