The Claw & Growl discusses the 59th annual Grammy Awards from Adele not wanting to accept Album of the Year, Bruno Mars “Prince” tribute, singer Joy Villa’s “Make America Great Again” dress, and Katy Perry’s political critic in her new single, “Chained to the Rhythm.” The Claw & Growl also interviews Monica Bustos, the event director of FIU’s Student Ambassadors, on the FIU tradition surrounding Valentines Day.


Thoughts on the FIU Athletic awards for the 2013-2014 seasons

Unlike the Oscars, the Grammys and the Tonys, I actually care about athletic awards that are given out. It is getting towards that part of the year where collegiate athletics are wrapping up and finals are coming. This means that FIU held their athletic awards banquet for the 2013-2014 year.




University Wide Council distributes additional A&S funds

After an increase of 3.5 percent in the Activity & Service Fee, the U-Wide Council reconvened on March 8 to allocate additional funds to several campus organizations. The council deliberated on an additional amount of about $1.5 million.




Student fee money allocated at budget deliberations

The two days of discussion within the University Wide Council on the disbursement of the $13 million of Activity & Service Fee have come to a close. The result: a tentative budget set for around 30 University wide organizations and facilities.
