Affordable Care Act expands student health services

The student tuition health fee allows students certain health services at little or no cost, but both insured and uninsured students encounter problems seeking medical help on-campus. However, now that the Affordable Care Act will offer more options for young adults, more students will have access to health insurance.

Minutes before FIU began their 2012 season against the No. 18 Florida Gators, the Panthers learned devastating news: FIU’s star hitter, Jovana Bjelica, suffered a broken bone in her right hand. The All Sun Belt hitter will be out for 4-6 weeks.

Hilltoppers end FIU’s season in semifinal sweep

Andrea Lakovic was just one of four Panthers who played her final match in an FIU uniform after being swept by WKU (30-3), eliminating the Panthers from the Sun Belt Conference Tournament, 25-22, 25-12, 25-19. It was the second year in a row that the Hilltoppers have knocked FIU (20-10) out of the tournament in the second round.
