In an effort to promote cultural awareness and provide students with an opportunity to have fun, the Student Government Council at Modesto A. Maidique Campus will be hosting a multicultural dance event at the University’s Engineering Center.
Monday, Oct. 7, the School of International and Public Affairs will be hosting its “Kings for Three Days: The Role of Race and Gender in an Afro-Ecuadorian Festival” event, dedicated to the book written by Jean Rahier, professor of anthropology and director of African and African Diaspora Studies at Coral Gables’ Books & Books.
Over the summer, the University has been ranked one of the top institutions to work for, according to a survey conducted by The Chronicle of Higher Education.
