Floating art, ribbon cutting to celebrate Earth Day

Hand-painted cubes with other garnishes floated around the lake behind the Green library on Tuesday, April 22.

These art installations, which will be floating décor for the lake until the end of April, were brought to the University by the PIAG Museum to commemorate Earth Day in conjunction with the palmetum ribbon cutting.


Miami-Dade Transit enlists Heat to get students excited about commutes

The South Florida Commuter Services teamed up with the Office of Sustainability and Parking and Transportation to bring not only the Miami-Dade County Transportation Office to speak with students about different transit options as part of Transit Day on April 9, but also Miami Heat Dancers, Burnie the Mascot and former NBA guard Tim Hardaway to get students excited about their commutes.
