When Assistant Chief of FIU Police Alphonse Ianniello was asked if he saw any texting while driving around campus, he said he personally did not. However, students said they witness their peers texting and driving often. “I see people texting and driving all the time on campus,” said Roberto Lopez, junior computer science major.

With the majority of Homecoming Events taking place at the Modesto Maidique Campus, the Student Government Council at the Biscayne Bay Campus has decided to sponsor shuttles between BBC and MMC for the Sept. 25 Lupe Fiasco and Tinie Tempah concert; Sept. 26 Waynes Brothers Comedy Show; and the Sept. 27 National Pan Hellenic Council Step Show.
