SJMC recently hosted a ceremony to acknowledge the induction of a new education initiative founded by Pamela Silva Conde, a graduate and co-anchor of Univision’s Primer Impacto, a Spanish-language news program on Univision.
With the University ranking seventh largest in the nation with its estimated fall enrollment, President Mark B. Rosenberg sat down with Student Media on Oct. 7 at Biscayne Bay Campus to discuss fundraising, partnerships and expansion — internal, online and into UniversityCity.
“What the state legislature provided was two types of increases: An across-the-board $1,400 increase for anyone who makes $40,000 or less, or $1,000 if one earns more than $40,000,” said Cuesta-Gomez, director of Employee and Labor Relations. “The other is a bonus that’s [going] to be paid in June 2014 and that is a merit bonus.“
On Friday, Oct. 11, members of the University community will hold a ceremony in honor of Senior Vice President, Emeritus, Paul D. Gallagher, who passed away on July 30, 2013.
President Obama announces a new college affordability and rating system.
