Money FIU’s Bay Vista project should be used to benefit students

In the fall 2016 semester, FIU’s Biscayne Bay Campus housing will reopen, allowing for students who frequent the campus to stay on campus – thus avoiding the commute between MMC and BBC and the fees the commute would accumulate.

WUC will not be renovated in time for spring

Joao Garci, environmental engineer major, plans to restore Arch Creek East Environmental Reserve – a dry, parched land behind Biscayne Bay Campus – with the Urban Paradise Guild to remove deadly, threatening plants.

Professor and students ‘monkeying around’

Psychology professor Eliza Nelson and her “monkey team” comprised of biology and psychology undergraduates are conducting research on brain organization in humans by studying monkeys.
