After starting the DeMarini Invitational with a loss against Cal, FIU looked to finish day one of the invitational with a 1-1 split but it was not destined for FIU as they lost 6-2 against Cal State Fullerton.
The Panthers looked to get above .500 after only winning one game in the FAU Invitational last week, but their luck would not change as they lost to California 8-1 to start the DeMarini Invitational.
