FIU picked up two key road victories against North Texas and Denver with the season winding down.
As much as the Golden Panthers would have liked to finish off their two game road trip with a win, it was not meant to be, as FIU fell to the Blue Raiders 2-0.
Propelled by freshman Ashleigh Shim’s two goals, the Golden Panthers soundly defeated the visiting South Alabama Jaguars on Oct. 2 for their fifth consecutive victory and are now sitting atop the Sun Belt Conference standings along with Denver and North Texas.
The Panthers now stand at 6-5 and extend their undefeated record in the SBC to 3-0 with the team gaining more chemistry as the season progresses.
