Panther Power throws Roary’s birthday bash

FIU’s loveable mascot, Roary, is going to be celebrating his 29th birthday this year at The Biscayne Bay Campus.Every year, this event is promoted as an extravaganza during homecoming week and is held by Panther Power, the official committee for promoting athletics and school spirit at the University. Rosemona St. Jean, senior biological sciences major is the president of Panther Power for the 2016-2017 school year. She explains that Panther Power is the spirit council at the BBC.



Roary celebrates birthday in new Panther Square

FIU’s mascot celebrated his birthday with about 150 students and staff members gathered in Panther Square at Biscayne Bay Campus.

The Student Government election results were announced at the start of the event, with Jazmin Felix as the new president and Camille Williams as vice president for 2014-2015.



USAID administrator to address University

The administrator of the U.S. Agency for International Development is announced to speak for a special address called, “Students and Universities Leading the Future of Development” on Friday, Sept. 21.
