According to a study by the Center for Collegiate Mental Health at Penn State, more than 100,000 students nationwide at 140 colleges and universities were surveyed having sought help at campus counseling centers.

An aspect of the plan is to refer students who need ongoing care to FIU Health or off-campus providers. In preparation for it, the University’s Student Health Services is planning five themed days to educate the community on different aspects of their health.
