“She is a mainstream artist who has recently been extremely successful as a lot of light and attention has been brought to her hit songs ‘Bang, Bang,’ ‘Burnin Up,’ ‘Price Tag,’ and ‘Flashlight.’”
“Except for the Eboard, nobody else knew about this,” said Erin Swink, a freshman nursing major and SPC member. “It was really exciting, even for us.”
“It is an event each term that welcomes new students for Summer B and a welcome back for current students so that they can get involved,” said Kaytien Franco, marketing assistant for BBC Campus life.
The A&S fee pays for all student life related organizations, clubs, events, and buildings at FIU; it has stayed at $12.87 per credit hour since 2012-2013.
Biscayne Bay Campus will be celebrating the many faces that art has to offer with the Affair of the Arts Week — created for students, professors and faculty to explore and enjoy the arts.
Fall Fest is back and so is Dormtainment, bringing their “broke and famous” troupe to the Biscayne Bay Campus on Thursday Sept. 11, for a live comedy performance in the Wolfe University Center Ballrooms.

The Office of Campus Life at Biscayne Bay Campus sent out an e-mail to students to announce all planned events for the remainder of summer term.
The new Student Government Council at Biscayne Bay Campus vowed to continue campaigning for a second road to access the university and work toward better meeting the needs of students at BBC in its first senate meeting of the summer.
