FIU and Miami weekend events

FIU Student Media will be hosting a Halloween party in Parkview from 6 p.m. to 10 p.m. on Friday, Oct. 30, Halloween. The event will feature music by WRGP Djs, games, food and a costume contest. All FIU students are welcomed to attend and take part in the festivities.

S’mores Under the Moonlight

With all of the Halloween centric activities that come in October, it’s easy to get overlook the other aspects of Fall. Because of this,  the Art & Entertainment District will continue hosting their S’mores Under the Moonlight series, a 21 and over event in which people can go to Canvas Miami to bond around a bonfire, music and food. The event takes place on Thursday, Oct. 29 at 7 p.m.

Fall Stargazing Party

For the star lovers, Frost Science will be hosting a night of stargazing and learning about astronomy through science and space themed activities. Admission is free and the event is open to the public. The event is on Friday, Oct. 30 in Fruit and Spice park from 7 p.m to 10 p.m.

Halloween on the Mile (Saturday)

A more family-friendly alternative to the slew of college geared Halloween parties is Halloween on the Mile on Saturday, Oct. 31 on Miracle Mile beginning at 2 p.m. The event features face painting , dogs in costumes and a reading circle in Books and Books.
