Members of South Florida’s legislature and an ambassador of the United Nations gathered in the University’s Graham Center to discuss the current state of Latin America on Friday, March 2.

Congressman urges administration to help assist student loan borrowers

On Tuesday, March 7, 40 members of the House, including Florida Congressman Carlos Curbelo, sent a letter to the two departments urging them to quickly put in place a plan, outlined in January, that would automatically certify the income of borrowers enrolled in income-driven repayment plans.

University program receives $1.4 million federal grant

The Accelerated Bridge Construction University Transportation Center received another $1.4 million dollar boost from the U.S. Department of Transportation. The center is the first federally-funded entity focused on developing technology and methods to improve and accelerate the construction of bridges.
