ESPN Deportes to broadcast football games

Friday morning, FIU announced a partnership with 1210AM ESPN Deportes, making them the official radio broadcast for all games during the 2014 football season.

“We are pleased to announce this partnership with 1210AM ESPN Deportes,” said FIU Executive Director for Sports and Entertainment Pete Garcia. “This is a tremendous opportunity to reach our fans and broaden FIU’s footprint in South Florida.”

1210AM will broadcast all 12 games, including pre and post-game analysis, and interviews with coaches and players.

“We are excited to be the official voice for the FIU Panthers throughout South Florida for the 2014 football season,” said 1210AM General Manager Mariela Mea. “It’s really a pleasure and a privilege to have them as partners in the dissemination of each game, through our radio. We welcome the FIU Panthers to the 1210AM ESPN Deportes family, the station of the biggest promotions and events in South Florida.”

The Panthers’ first home opener will be Aug. 30 at the Ocean Bank Field at FIU Stadium against Bethune-Cookman University.
