The Miami electro-funk ensemble known as Psychic Mirrors is at it again. After a brief hiatus, this eclectic band of musicians will be performing at the Sonar Festival in Barcelona later this June. Thankfully, you can still catch them before they leave town, as they’ll be hitting up a local Miami dance-floor, this Friday at Gramps in Wynwood.
Psychic Mirrors elicit sounds of both the future and the past, with a tropical twist. Using groovy beats that are reminiscent of 70’s funk and boogie, intertwined with spacey synthesizers and vocals, this band will make you feel like you’re on an interstellar voyage while sipping on a glass of mango juice. Their sound is topped with an engagingly energetic stage presence, which makes it a must-see performance recommended for any and all audiences.
