The FIU beach volleyball team enters the Conference USA Tournament the two seed and are set to face off against the seven-seed Missouri State Bears on Thursday, April 25 at the Youngsville Sports Complex in Sugar Beach, Louisiana.

In their last tournament run in 2023, FIU fell to the FAU Sandy Owls in the championship match 3-0.

Finishing the 2024-25 season with five straight wins, the Panthers have been rolling opponents.

They dominated the FAU Burrow Beach Bash off performances from duo junior Zuzanna Bielak and graduate Lucie Pokorna

Bielak and Pokorna went undefeated in that stretch of games, beating Tulane, Stetson and FAU. Their play won them CUSA Pair of the Week.

Senior Giada Bianchi leads the team in wins this season with 26. She also received a CUSA All-Academic team honor.

Missouri State are a formidable foe, winning their last nine matches. FIU has played the Bears twice all time, defeating them in both games for a 2-0 record. Their most recent game was on March 25, 2023.

The tournament runs from April 25 – 27 and matches can be caught on ESPN+ after Thursday.
