FIU will resume normal operations, Wednesday Sept. 4, as Hurricane Dorian heads Northwest and is projected to miss South Florida.

The libraries and wellness and recreation centers at MMC and BBC will open, Tuesday Sept. 3, from noon to 6 p.m. to accommodate on-campus residents and other students who would like to come to use these facilities. Also, the 8th Street Campus Kitchen and Market at Breezeway will be open at MMC.

The Add/Drop deadlines have been extended and students have until Sept. 9, to add/drop courses or withdraw from the university without incurring financial liability for tuition and fees. Tuition payments are now due Sept. 13.

The University has activated #FIUStrong to aid the Bahamas and Bahamian students.

When returning to campus, students might encounter some of the about 200 FEMA workers who are being stationed on campus to be deployed if Dorian makes landfall in Florida. They are being housed in the Graham Center Ballrooms and the parking lot in front of Gold garage is being occupied by their vehicles.
