The first day of the semester has arrived and FIU has planned a whole week of fun and engaging virtual events to help students ring in the spring semester.

Monday, January 11

FIU Resources Fair 12-2pm

This virtual event sponsored by Campus Life will introduce students to different departments and what helpful  resources they offer. Students can register for the event here.

LGBTQA Initiatives 12-2pm

Meet the LGBTQA Mentors of FIU during this virtual event sponsored by the MPAS LGBTQA Initiatives and discover their community and the services they provide. Students can register for the event here.

SGA Presidential Address and Senate Meeting 4-6pm

Attend the Presidential Address this semester sponsored by SGA to stay up to date with the university. Students can register to attend the event here. 

Taste of Camp – Panther Camp 5-6pm

During this virtual event students will learn about Panther Camp, and have the opportunity to meet Panther Camp Facilitators. Attend the event here. 

Sorority Fair 7-9pm

During this event students will be able to discover the sororities on campus and meet some of the students involved. Attend the event here.

United Wesley Community Night

Join United Wesley for their first Community Night of the semester. Students can join the event here. 

Tuesday, January 12

Life Skills Series: Zoom While You Clean 12:30-1:30pm

Campus Life is helping students get ready for the semester by cleaning out a space for students to work productively. Students can register for the event here. 

Keep it Cool with HLP & the Peer Mentor Program 2-3:30pm

UPRoar Activation Station Box Distribution 3-7pm

Bring UPRoar to your home and pick up your UPRoar Activation Station Box at GC Fountain all Wednesday afternoon. 

That’s so Queer: Meet Us! 4-5pm

During this event, join MPAS LGBTQA Initiatives and discuss topics about gender identities and experiences.

Mr. and Ms. Roarthon: Meet the Contestants 5-7pm

Painting Supplies Pick up (MMC & BBC Locations) 2-4pm

Attending a painting event without the supplies would be difficult, so pick up your painting supplies for the painting event at both MMC and BBC locations!

You at FIU: Finding Your Perfect Opportunity 3:30-4:30pm

This session will help students find opportunities on campus that suit their needs, including internships and joining organizations. Students can attend this event here.

Virtual Game Night 7-8pm

United Wesley is sponsoring this virtual game night where students can interact and play popular games. Students can register for this event here.

SPC UPRoar Concert 7-10pm

Order of Omega Presents: The Greek Awards 7:30-8:30pm

MLK Day of Service 9:30am-12:30pm

Students can come together with the university to celebrate and honor Dr. King and discuss solutions to the community’s social problems.
