Though the heat is stifling, summer classes march on.

In the wake of the summer semester, here are some events to look forward to this May in order to dull down the temperature’s fatigue.

Wine Service Event: Bringing “spirit” to the beginning of the summer term is the Wine Guild with their crash-course basics on wine service held exclusively at Biscayne Bay Campus in the Chaplin school of Hospitality and Tourism management building, room 171 on Tuesday, May 14 at 5:30 P.M.; with the option for students to join through zoom as well.

Panther Social 1: The Latin American Dance club is holding a fiery dance meet-up including salsa and more, housed directly at the Graham Center Pit on Friday, May 17 at 4:00 P.M.

APIDA Movie Night: Celebrating Asian Pacific-Islander Desi American heritage month is a movie night–perfect for hiding away from the heat, on Tuesday, May 21, from 6:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M. in GC room 140

GLAM Fashion Photo-Shoot: In GC 216, the Pride Center is bringing glittery charisma through its photoshoot allowing students to partake in a model runway all on Thursday May 23, from 3:00 P.M. to 5:00 P.M.

Coffee Guild’s Ripple workshop: Bringing some of the May events to a close is the ripple workshop– a look into the ripples machine which prints edible ink onto coffees for aesthetic shapes. The event is also on the 23, from 5:30 P.M. to 7:00 P.M. in HM 129.
