Radio Soul Detailed Fun Fact Denise “Vanity” Matthews
Denise Matthews was known as Vanity throughout her career of Music, Modeling and Movies. Based out of Canada, She was the model For the band Cameo, on the LPs “Alligator Woman” and “she’s Strange”. Matthews was also frontwoman for Prince’s female project “Vanity 6”. After leaving the trio, she signed to Motown in 1984. A year later, she was casted in “Berry Gordy’s Last Dragon” alongside Taimak. Action Jackson was a film she starred in also, in 1988. After living the life of Sex, Drugs and Rock & Roll, Matthews turned from the world of entertainment to Christianity in the 1990s. Overall, if a singer can turn around and do good for the community, an adult film star can do the same,as they also live a life similar, especially to what Matthews Lived.
