A woman was feared to have a mental breakdown in the Green Library Thursday, September 3.

The University police department received a call around 1 p.m. A man was concerned that his wife was having a mental breakdown, according to FIUPD.

Police car parked in the Green Library Breezeway and offered services to the woman. The woman entered the vehicle and was taken to Student Health Services clinic to evaluate her. She was not hurt.

“We basically heard the sirens and then [the cop car] stopped. The cop went inside, a detective. Some other cops came and there was a girl that went inside the front seat,” said Katherine De La Rosa, a junior criminal justice major.

Michael Leon said a detective went into GL 100 and that three other cops came to help.

“There were too many people walking and I couldn’t really see what was happening,” said Leon, a junior biology major.

This sounds less like news and more like gossip. I mean, this is someone’s personal life here.
