Latinx music has cultivated its own sound by mixing pop and reggaeton to dominate the scene at parties and pop radio stations. Spanish music explores the Latin American community’s story and soul. In honor of Hispanic Heritage month, here are ten of the most charted songs by latin artists to enjoy.

  1. Agua” by Tainy and J Balvin

This song tops the charts with a reminiscing intro that many people will recognize as the Spongebob Squarepants theme song. With this trip down memory lane turned to a latin pop mix, Agua continues to top Billboard 100s since the end of July.

2. “Hawai” by Maluma

Maluma has been charting the Spanish billboard for the last couple of months with hits like “PM”, “PORFA”, “Madrid” and “ADMV”. His latest hit, “Hawai”, is a sensual taste of Colombian beats perfect for a day out at the beach or a night time sound.

3. “Relacion” by Sech, Daddy Yankee, j Balvin, Rosalia, Farruko

Relacion” is a compilation of some of Spanish music’s favorite artists including: Daddy Yankee, J Balvin, Rosalia and Farruko. This remix will make you play it on repeat as you seem to not be able to get enough of this 2020 anthem that has topped the charts since its September release.

4. “Un dia” by J Balvin, Dua Lipa, Tainy, Bad Bunny

Another major mashup of some fan favorite artists like J Balvin, Tainy and Bad Bunny team up with Pop artist, Dua Lipa, for a romantic, empowering anthem that will make you want to get up out of your seat and dance.

5. “Me gusta” by Anitta, Cardi B, Myke Towers

Brazilian artist, Anitta, teams up with Platinum Rap artist, Cardi B and Myke Towers to bring this colorful song to life. With a nod to the beautiful city of Salvador, Brazil, the official music video illustrates colorful fashion, latin beauty, and another billboard hit single.

6. “Pa’ti” by J lo, Maluma

With J Lo’s continued rapid growth as an icon, she promoted her song, Pa’ti, featuring Maluma, with a Tik Tok challenge she invited her followers to be a part of. “Pa’ti” is a song perfect for every occasion, reminding us, Latinx, why it is that J Lo is such a beloved figure in our community.

7. “Ay Dios Mio” by Karol G

Rising latin star, Karol G, nods to her platinum selling single “Tusa,” with this similar sounding song, Ay dios mio, that is meant to be enjoyed outside in beautiful weather. Remaining at the top of charts, Karol G does it again as listeners can’t help but move their body along to the music.

8. “Don’t go” by Isabel Merced, Danna Paola

This Mexican female duet is a sexy, feminist song that quickly rose to the top of Latin charts upon its release. Singers Isabel Merced and Danna Paola prove that they don’t need men to be happy or confident.

9. “Santeria” by Danna Paola, Lola Indigo, Denise Rosenthal

This triple threat might very well remind some of you of the 2015 hit, “Bang Bang” featuring Jessie J, Ariana Grande and Nicki Minaj. This latinx song, Santeria, with powerhouse singers: Danna Paola, Lola Indigo, and Denise Rosenthal, promise to keep your eyes glued to the music video as you can’t help but sing along.

10. “Convenceme” by India Martinez and Marc Anthony

Beloved Puerto Rican artist, Marc Anthony, joins forces with India Martinez in this beautiful, sensual ballad called “Convenceme”. Grab your loved one and sway to the music as the message of ‘love’ lingers.
