FIU has received a limited number of Pfizer vaccines for students, faculty and staff.

“Vaccine appointments are now open and will be given on a first come, first served basis,” read an email sent out today by FIU President Mark B. Rosenberg

Click here to register for an appointment for the first dose of the vaccine which will be available from 2 p.m. to 5 p.m. starting Wednesday, April 14 through Friday April 16. Students who are 16 and older must be accompanied by a parent or guardian adhering to state guidelines.

Students, faculty, and staff who receive the first dose must return for the second dose the week of May 5 according to the email.

In South Florida there are various places you can go to receive the COVID-19 vaccine (Johnson & Johnson, Moderna, or Pfizer). You can also pre-register for an appointment through a Florida statewide portal.

“At FIU we strive to help our Panther family stay safe and healthy. Please remember that vaccinated or not, we must all continue to wear face coverings and to observe COVID-19 mitigation guidelines as we work to bring the university community back safely,” said Rosenberg.
