The Pfizer vaccine is now available for students, faculty and staff, and eligible members of their households.

“Vaccine appointments are now open and will be given on a first come, first served basis,” read an email sent out today by FIU President Mark B. Rosenberg.

Click here to register for an appointment for the first dose of the vaccine which will be available starting Wednesday, July 21 followed by the second dose on Wednesday Aug.11. Children between the ages of 12 through 17 must be accompanied by a parent or guardian according to the email. Proof of photo ID or a birth certificate is required.

In South Florida, there are various places you can go to receive the COVID-19 vaccine (Johnson & Johnson, Moderna, or Pfizer). You can also pre-register for an appointment through a Florida statewide portal.

“At FIU we strive to help our Panther family stay safe and healthy. Please remember that vaccinated or not, we must all continue to wear face coverings and to observe COVID-19 mitigation guidelines as we work to bring the university community back safely,” said Rosenberg.
