Reggaetón artist Dalex did a pop up event at FIU’s MMC Graham center lawn.

Accompanying Dalex is his tour DJ Junior who is an FIU graduate that is going on tour with the artist this coming November.

The artist performed his songs “Pa Mi,” “Bellaquita,” “Elegí,” and “Cuaderno.”

“I really liked the experience, I feel like it’s very different from what other universities have done. I feel like they should incorporate more Latin music and [have] the concert be a little bit longer,” said Anais Olivera, a junior majoring in biological sciences.

The event was made to promote Dalex’s new album Unisex that comes out on Nov 4.

“The event was amazing, I have always loved Dalex, it was an amazing performance… We did the meet and greet and he hugged me… it was perfect,” said Alexandra Canas, a junior majoring in accounting.

After his performance, Dalex stayed to do a free meet and greet where he signed posters of his upcoming album and took pictures with his fans.

“It was amazing, he’s a really great performer, he’s super nice,” said Maria Zegarra, a junior majoring in international business.

Dalex has worked with other artists such as Nicky Jam, Sech, Khea and many others in the Latin industry.

“I didn’t expect to see a reggaetón artist here and it was a great experience,” said Adeliny Espinal, majoring in Human Health Science.
