Along with her teammates and coaches, Ruele credits most of her success to her family. Specifically, her mother, who Naomi says, “sacrificed so much for me. I am so grateful for her and everything she has given me. And my brother who always supports me.”
Ruele has the chance to finally represent herself in her first Olympic competition and FIU is proud to have such talent.

Overall, the University brought home seven wins of the 12 events, coupled with seven second place finishes.
The difficulty in this season’s schedule not only lies in the talent faced, but also in the number of meets, with three more this season than last. The 2015-2016 regular season will last at least another week longer than it did in 2014-2015, as well.
