On Nov. 16, 2021, Geoff Keighley announced in a livestream the nominees for all the categories of The Game Awards 2021. Some games have received multiple nominations, similar to the pattern of nominations for the previous awards.

Keighley also announced that as usual, this year’s Game Awards will include a new lineup of game announcements and the live orchestra performing songs from the games nominated for Game of the Year.

The Game Awards 2021 will be at 8:00 p.m. – 11:00 p.m. (Eastern time) on Thursday, Dec. 9, 2021 at the Microsoft Theater in Los Angeles, with streaming options available across more than 40 global video platforms.
