If you’ve lost all hope in Canadian internet darlings due to the recent shenanigans of the “Baby” superstar, Justin Bieber,  then wipe off the tears from your face and lock away your freezer full of Haagen-Dazs.

Ontario, Canada’s Walk off The Earth is traveling through the east coast and gracing us with their medley of pop covers and their own original hits on the “Gang of Rhythm Tour.” The quintet includes Ryan Marshall on guitar, Gianni Luminati on bass, Mike Taylor on keys and vocals, Joel Cassidy on drums, and Sarah Blackwood on ukulele. Sad thing is if you’re expecting these artists to stay in one spot of the stage for an hour and play as stiff as an overly stressed chemistry student then you might as well get a refund at the door. This rock band does not limit themselves to one area of playing nor do they play one instrument during their set. Don’t be surprised when Sarah Blackwood drops her ukulele for a guitar or when she bumps Luminati from the string section to percussion while taking the microphone and leading the sing-a-longs.

This group doesn’t tour from the cold mountains of Canada to our humid and palm tree filled tourist trap of a home to sell you an opportunity to stand still and awkwardly react to your favorite songs. They are here to sell you the experience that comes with taking off your work clothes and jamming out with like-minded people at a venue that’s held many star studded events.

Revolution Live invites you to join their wonderland of music for one night with Walk Off the Earth along with the opening act , Parachute. If you have no idea of what to expect from going to see this show then just imagine a group of five groovy people making an epic cover of Gotye’s single, “Somebody That I Used to Know”, flawlessly on one single guitar. Now slap yourself to make sure you’re awake because you don’t have to imagine this. Walk Off the Earth has become a YouTube sensation due to their large library of videos covering chart topping singles in the most creative ways you can think of. These covers include Taylor Swift’s “I Knew You Were Trouble”, Lorde’s “Royals”, LMFAO’s “Party Rock Anthem”, Maroon 5’s “Payphone”, and so much more! However, that’s not to say they won’t astound you with their own original hits.

This is of course the “Gang of Rhythm Tour” named after their hit single “Gang of Rhythm” from their recent album, R.E.V.O.  Other great singles include “REVO” and “Red Hands.” It’s highly recommended you go to this show knowing the lyrics because you’ll have such a great time that you’ll feel bad not being able to join the sing-a-longs because you didn’t know the lyrics beforehand! So, put down your overly priced lab manual and drive down to Revolution Live in Ft. Lauderdale this Friday, Feb. 7, to enjoy a night of pop rock and extraordinary covers with a venue full of people who need a break as much as you do.
